Chairman Message

When we laid the foundations of HISWO, we were fully cognizant of a paradox that exists in Pakistan: millions continue to live and survive the grinding poverty, preventable diseases and corruption, yet, Pakistan is a country full of potential and a promise for bright future. I applaud the efforts and dedication of the HISWO team and volunteers who are frontline soldiers in our fight against hunger, disease and pollution. With the help of the unwavering commitment of volunteers and skilled staff, HISWO has responded back to the needs of the vulnerable communities in urban slums.

OUR RATIONALE (Contributing in the SDGs)

The Sustainable Development Goals provide a holistic blueprint for change – an integrated plan to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure that all people enjoy lasting peace and prosperity. HISWO’s role is to implement projects and programs to help the communities throughout society to power and accelerate their progress towards the Goals.

Feed the Hungry

The tehsil of KGM and Jhuddo in Mirpurkhas district and Thul District Jacobabad had been chosen after consultation with the local administration for provision of relief activities under the HISWO. Rains activities in the District of Mirpurkhas are the two worst affected UC’s of Roshanabad and KGM the road leading to these two UCs still has water flowing across it at a very fast pace. Access to the affected areas is limited and therefore, little or no relief activity in terms of shelter or WASH has been conducted in these areas.
